Resolution Criteria
This market resolves to YouTube, TikTok, or Snapchat if that platform is the first of the three to officially announce, by 11:59 PM ET on September 30, 2026, that it will implement a new set of teen-safety measures substantially comparable to the core protections included in Meta's August 2026 U.S. states settlement.
To qualify, the announcement must include new or materially expanded protections covering all three of the following areas:
- a daily usage or screen-time limit for teen users;
- a nighttime usage restriction or comparable overnight protection for teen users;
- strengthened age-verification or age-assurance measures.
The measures do not need to be identical to Meta's, but they must clearly address all three areas above and must represent newly announced or materially expanded protections rather than merely restating features already in place before August 26, 2026.
The announcement must come from the company itself, an official company representative, or an official regulatory/legal filing or agreement involving the company.
If more than one qualifying platform makes an announcement on the same calendar day, the platform whose qualifying announcement was published first will resolve as the winner, based on the earliest reliably documented publication time. If the order cannot be reliably established, the tied platforms will resolve in equal proportions.
Resolve to None of the above if none of YouTube, TikTok, or Snapchat makes a qualifying announcement by 11:59 PM ET on September 30, 2026.
Actions or announcements by other companies do not affect this market.
