I have a virology background and currently work on roadmapping biosecurity interventions. I personally think AI safety is more relevant, but have decided to pursue biosecurity in the past, due to my strong comparative advantage and lack of relevant background. Though, the are things in AI safety I could plausibly work on. Before 2024, will my main focus of work shift from biosecurity to AI?
