Will someone mine bitcoin on mars before 2080

The bitcoin mining doesn’t need to produce a bitcoin.

On Mars? No. In space? Yes definitely, conditional on Bitcoin still being relevant.

Mars is too far. There’s definitely an article about this somewhere online

As far as i heard, bitcoin mining has to be fast? You need to calculate something faster than others to be paid. The light of speed delay between Earth( with core computation power) and Mars would not help the issue.

@KongoLandwalker Yes, on average, it takes 10 minutes for a new Bitcoin block to be found. The round-trip time to Mars is between 6 and 45 minutes. So chances are that by the time your new Mars-mined block arrives on Earth, someone else has already found another block that has been added to the blockchain instead.
