Right now there isn't a clear "left wing opinion" and "right wing opinion" on NIMBYism vs. YIMBYism. The right has both NIMBY "protect our community" conservatives and YIMBY "the market will solve the problem" libertarians, while the left has both "NIMBYism is racism" and "YIMBYism is racism".
Resolves YES if, in my subjective opinion, the NIMBY/YIMBY divide becomes as politically polarized as something like guns or vaccines.
I'm not sure which way this will flip by 2027, but if it DOES crystallize along party lines, I'll say it would have to become a nationalized issue, rather than a mostly local issue, as it is now. National politics is what seems to be driving the kind of political polarization we're most familiar with in the states over the last 10 years
