I've had one for a while, which was strong enough to pinch skin against other metal objects quite painfully, but not do anything worse. I can just barely free a ball bearing that's stuck to the magnet with nothing but my fingers.
I just got a second supermagnet a bit larger than the first.
"Severe injury" will include anything whose effects last longer than 1 week, or anything for which I decide I need to seek medical attention.

1,000Man these things are dangerous. I decided to put them away somewhere safe, but then realized this would be difficult, since anywhere I put them, I could absent-mindedly bring something metal within a few inches weeks or months later...
Finally found a spot that seemed sufficiently distant from anyway any member of my household would go, and in the process of putting them in there, I forgot the door was metal and had another incident.
They're in there now though. May or may not take them out again soon.

I had a ton of tiny neodymium ones from Temu but they started chipping cause they'd crash together so hard, which was another whole level of worry. So, I'm rooting for you
