By 2030 will I be able to get a 3 month prescription for stimulant meds to treat ADHD?

I’m an adult living in New Mexico, USA. As of right now my prescriber can only prescribe 1 month’s worth of stimulant medication to treat my ADHD per visit. This feels ridiculous given that I take lisdexamfetamine dimesylate (Vyvanse) which is a slow activating amphetamine.

Because your body processes Vyvanse so slowly, it’s (in theory) impossible to abuse – no matter how much you snort or inject or overdose on or whatever, it will still convert to the active form gently and gradually (but please don’t test this).

I’m wondering what are the chances that I’ll be able to get my meds without visiting a psychiatrist every single month.

I don’t know what stimulant medication if any I’ll be taking in 2030, but I’ll probably keep taking some kind of stimulant medication to treat my ADHD. If I stop taking stimulant medication by 2030 then I’ll try to resolve this question as if I was.

I’m unlikely to move to another state or country before 2030.

I will not bet on this question.
