Right now it's a weird magic string in the description, which doesn't match how anything else on the site is set.

Will it become a setting, or a different string, or otherwise change?

  • Update 2026-01-06 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The requirement that AI markets now need to be individually approved is not sufficient for a YES resolution if the magic string method for turning them off remains unchanged.

They now have to be individually approved, but to turn them off eventually you still need the specific string. I don't think that's enough for a YES resolution, if nothing else changes.

bought Ṁ20 NO

They have been extremely resistant to change on this front.

@Eliza time for the dual to this market? Will there be other settings or behaviors controlled by magic strings in the description?

@EvanDaniel At this point, and for the last X months, betting against any new feature is easy money.

If people make markets on it, the most attentive users will bet No, and then they will no longer be advocating for new features. It could cause a complete code freeze site-wide.

@Eliza but some attentive users are more influential than others.
