I really like the question. On the one hand its against the mission. On the other hand maybe he'll agree to not work on side projects.

@GCS if I were him after all this I'd extract a payment as a sign of submission from the new board and shareholders. These guys have to know who's boss

@Ernie Is there strong indication that the board is submitted to him? It doesn’t seem to be the case

@TheBayesian I'm not following closely, but didn't Jobs demand and get effectively backdated options worth billions on return to apple after his ouster? It just looks bad to let people snipe at you then not win more.

Also afaik its common for board members to have equity. At least as compensation, but I think also as founder/CEOs

@Ernie But in this case, the board is not the board of directors governing OpenAI LP, it's for a non-profit.
