Resolution Criteria
This market will resolve based on public figures who explicitly identify themselves as conservative or right-leaning in 2025, having not previously been known to hold such views. To qualify:
The individual must make a clear, public statement or demonstration of conservative political alignment in 2025. Public statements and endorsements of conservative politicians will count.
This must be a first-time public declaration of conservative views.
Social media posts alone will qualify if they are unambiguous and come from verified accounts.
The statement must come after the question was added.
Xi Jinping is the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), governing within a Marxist-Leninist framework adapted as "Socialism with Chinese Characteristics". While the system is economically somewhat left, with policies like "common prosperity," it has become increasingly socially and politically conservative and nationalistic under his leadership, emphasizing state control, traditional culture, and party discipline.
