Resolution criteria

This market resolves YES if The Weeknd has at least one single reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the pre-eminent singles chart in the United States, at any point during the calendar year 2026. Resolution will be verified via the official Billboard Hot 100 chart at https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/. The single must be credited to The Weeknd as the primary artist (features are acceptable). Remixes do not count unless released as an official single.

Background

The Weeknd's sixth studio album "Hurry Up Tomorrow" was released on January 31, 2025, and was supported by three singles: "Timeless", "São Paulo", and "Cry for Me". The Weeknd has a strong track record with number-one hits: his album "Beauty Behind the Madness" was supported by the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face", and his single "Blinding Lights" peaked at number one for 4 weeks. A co-headlining tour with Playboi Carti is set to continue through 2026, which may provide promotional opportunities for new music.
