I'm referring to SB 315, also known as the Artificial Intelligence Safety Measures Act. It's the strongest AI safety bill in the country, stronger than California's SB 53 (TFAIA) which has a Wikipedia page and stronger than New York's RAISE Act which has a Wikipedia page. It's been covered in mainstream outlets like The Hill and WIRED.
I think it's pretty important, but there's a chance its importance will decline later this year if it gets federally preempted or another stronger state legislation emerges. I guess it wasn't as controversial as the CA or NY bills. But I wanted to know more of the story behind it, so I was hoping it would have a Wikipedia page!
My previous markets about whether important AI topics will get Wikipedia pages:
To resolve YES, the Wikipedia page must exist for at least 95% of the month of December. (I want this market to be robust to Wikipedia vandalism.)
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.
