Megaplex is an annual furry convention in Orlando (Florida, USA). This year's convention is set to take place September 15-17, 2023. Earlier this year, the convention decided to restrict attendance to people 18 and older, in response to state legislation (what is often referred to as Florida's "anti-drag bill") being passed. This legislation and the general political climate in Florida has made some would-be attendees wary. Will Megaplex continue to grow, or will attendance drop?
This question resolves to YES if Megaplex has more attendees in 2023 than in 2022 (total attendance was 4,662), or NO otherwise.
I will use officially published figures, assuming they seem credible and also comparable to the figures from 2022 (that is, using the same methodology). If the official figures don't meet those criteria, I will use a suitable alternative if I can find one. If I cannot find any suitable figures then this question resolves to N/A.
I may provide liquidity subsidies but will not otherwise trade in this question.
