This year, Anthrocon hit 18,357, making it the largest furry convention ever. However, they also issued a registration cap for the first time for safety reasons. They haven't said what that cap was, just that it was "substantially higher" than their 2024 numbers. Other big cons, such as Furry Weekend Atlanta, have had similar growing pains — but the Furry fandom's conventions are still comparatively small. The next big milestone is about 2,000 more than AC this year for a total of 20,000. Will a furcon hit it before the end of 2026?
