What is the difference between “try to ban” and ban? Is there a difference? Legislation has been submitted to make it illegal but it has not been voted on. Does that count as a try?
Or do you mean banning the burning of the Quran is ultimately futile and even if the government passes a ban, it is only a try?
@JimAusman one scenario I think is probable and counts as YES is legislation being blocked by the judiciary branch before coming into effect
@JustifieduseofFallibilism Idk for Denmark, but isn't Sweden's trade with Turkey about being let into NATO? Maybe it just spreads in Scandinavia from there. On the other hand the Sweden market is very low and this one is very high.
The government has already proposed legislation to ban burning the Quran. https://apnews.com/article/denmark-quran-burning-law-proposal-7f29b6824519975fbacc1e5e7dc57193
And about 50% of Danes support some kind of ban: https://www.thelocal.dk/20230901/one-in-two-in-denmark-support-ban-on-quran-burnings
