So I guess resolving this market resulted in ~0 payouts to users and roughly 1000 mana in clawbacks from loans on the losing side 😂

predicted NO

@Eliza Not for NO shareholders, they got payouts, and I got a big payout :)

I have conducted research on this subject:

The 2022 Pfizer bivalent booster dose is 30mcg/0.3mL:

Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent booster — 12 years and older:

  • 91312: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (coronavirus disease [COVID-19]) vaccine, mRNA-LNP, bivalent spike protein, preservative free, 30 mcg/0.3 mL dosage, tris-sucrose formulation, for intramuscular use,

The 2022 Moderna bivalent booster dose is 50mcg/0.5mL:

Moderna bivalent booster — 18 years and older:

  • 91313: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (coronavirus disease [COVID-19]) vaccine, mRNA-LNP, spike protein, bivalent, preservative free, 50 mcg/0.5 mL dosage, for intramuscular use,

I am thoroughly convinced that this photo from Getty Images shows a syringe loaded to the number "3", that has been inserted into Biden's arm, but not injected yet.

I believe this is sufficient proof to make a claim that Biden is not receiving the 50mcg/0.5mL Moderna dose, as approved, in this photo.

It looks like enough evidence to resolve the market No, but since this has been open for a very long time, I wonder if someone else has definitive evidence, or something to say to the contrary.

I am not interested in playing "But this could have been just a fake for the photos". I have presented clear evidence to support this claim.

@Eliza Excellent detective work! That route had not even occurred to me!

predicted YES

@Eliza This is top-tier big brain research! Kudos!

@Eliza @BTE what do you think, are you convinced?

predicted YES

@Eliza Yeah!! That is good work!!!

predicted YES

@EvanDaniel He got one on October 25, 2022 (and that's what this market is about). We just don’t know whether it was a Pfizer or Moderna booster

@BTE Any updates or decisions?

predicted YES

How does everyone feel about this resolving to PROB?

bought Ṁ55 of YES

To be clear, if he received a different booster earlier this year, then gets another booster later in 2023 that is the bivalent Moderna, would this market resolve YES or NO?

predicted YES

@Weepinbell The market is about 2022 by the way, not 2023. The reason that it has not resolved is that it’s unknown which booster Biden got on October 25th, 2022

predicted YES

@JoshuaB I am starting to think nobody knows. It makes more sense that he got the Moderna because he had the Pfizer shot the previous 3 doses. I got another one I need help with /BTE/will-ron-desantis-out-fundraise-tru

predicted YES

@JoshuaB oh lol I can't read hahaha

@BTE any updates?

predicted YES

I haven’t been able to find a source to resolve the this yet so I am opening back up trading to incentivize others to help me figure it out.

predicted NO

@BTE I found this image from Axios and this image from the NYT.

I’ve enhanced (using my fancy image editor Preview) and rotated the pictures of the needles so they’re upright:

It looks like the top line probably says “BIVALENT,” the third line says “Oct 22” and the fourth says “Oct 25” (the date Biden got the shot).

It seems like the second line has something along the lines of “77”?? Though I have no idea what that would mean. The 5th line is waayyy too blurry for me to make anything out.

Hopefully this is a step towards figuring out which shot Biden got, though I’m not really sure where to go from here.

Perhaps someone could take one of the videos and do some image magic to create a higher quality image of the label? Maybe someone has a relevant background and could explain what the label means?

predicted YES

@JoshuaB Nice!! I am kinda shocked that the company didn't use it as a PR spot. Which actually makes me think it was definitely Moderna because Pfizer made a point of issuing a press release for his first 3-4 doses of their vaccine. No way they would fail to do that the fifth time, right?? Also I think it would make sense for his physician to suggest he get the Moderna since he hadn't had their vaccine previously and why not diversify for maximum protection? I will seek out a Moderna contact form tomorrow if you don't beat me to it!!

@BTE Where do we stand on this?

@IsaacKing Was unable to verify with certainty which he got. Been a minute since I looked though.

bought Ṁ75 of NO

@BTE Hmm, yeah. The make of his earlier shots were straightforwardly reported, but I couldn't find a clear answer for this one.

However, I think this article strongly implies that he got Pfizer.

[Discussion about the Pfizer booster, and how Joe Biden received the booster, followed by:]

Pharmaceutical company Moderna, which also developed an updated booster, is not expected to submit full data on its vaccine to the administration until later this month, the people with knowledge of the matter said.

@IsaacKing No this is from well after they were approved and available. The Moderna booster was approved first I believe but by the time Biden got his shot they were both available. He had gotten Pfizer previously so I would have expected him to get Moderna but still haven’t found any information.

sold Ṁ33 of NO

@BTE Isn't the article I linked talking about his most recent booster shot?

@IsaacKing It is but it is talking about post-market data on efficacy, not premarket. So at the time of this article both vaccines were approved and available, but only Pfizer had published their data. So this is unrelated to whether or not they were available. It even says in there that Biden got his shot over a month earlier.
