Resolves YES if:
Gravitational lensing of the moon focuses plasma into a Giant Death Laser
Magnetic reconnection event EMP disrupts the power grid
Momentum transferred to the moon at the right angle to cause orbit change
Earth's magnetic poles flip leading to widespread cosmic radiation exposure

All that you touch
And all that you see
All that you taste
All you feel
And all that you loved
And all that you hate
All you distrust
All you save
And all that you give (All you give)
And all that you deal (Woah)
And all that you buy
Beg, borrow, or steal (Hey-hey)
And all you create
And all you destroy (Woah)
And all that you do
And all that you say (Hey, yeah)
And all that you eat
And everyone you meet (Everyone you meet)
And all that you slight
And everyone you fight (Ho-ho-ho)
And all that is now
And all that is gone
And all that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune (Everything)
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon
"There is no dark side in the moon really
Matter of fact, it's all dark"
Turnaround, every now and then I get a
Little bit lonely and you're never coming round
Turnaround, every now and then I get a little
Bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit
Nervous that the best of all my years have gone by
Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit
Terrified and then I see the fuckin' look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, every now and then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, fuckin' every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
I fuckin' need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
For-fuckin-ever's gonna start to
Once upon a time I was falling in love
Now I'm fuckin' falling apart
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart
O Jesus once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
*A total eclipse of the ❤️ *
Hold your head back, baby close your eyes
Get ready for a trip that leaves you hypnotized
With champagne crank the hot tub
Strip your clothes, hot oil rub
Burn the incense underneath the sky
@AnnaCherry due to the way tides distort the oceans, gravity from the oceans is always pulling on the moon so as to accelerate it in its orbit, which causes the moon's orbit to move outwards over time. As a result the moon is moving away from Earth at a rate of a few centimetres per year, and the rotation rate of the Earth is slowing down.
@chrisjbillington Yes this is happening all the time, but how does qualify for "result in catastrophic consequences" Tides getting a tiny bit (i.e. unnoticeably) smaller and longer period does not seem catastrophic if you can't even notice it over long periods of time let alone length of this question (or length of eclipse?).
@ChristopherRandles it doesn't, though sadly one day it will mean no more eclipses and that seems like a catastrophe to me.
My comment wasn't supposed to relate to resolution, just pointing out that the literal thing is non-catastrophically already happening, which people might find interesting if they didn't already know about it.
And I guess maybe the creator might have wanted to clarify that catastrophe was necessary. Otherwise people might bet on the description alone thinking they were being very clever (people shouldn't do this but for some reason they love to).
(Just to be clear, I don't wonder at all: I'm fairly sure it's because totality is visible from Murica ☀️🌑🇱🇷)
