A new generation of Indian chess players have been achieving impressive results in the past few years. A cohort of players currently under the age of 20 are beginning to break into the top rankings in classical chess.
This question resolves YES if, before 2031, a chess player representing India wins a classical World Chess Championship.
If the 2030 championship is postponed to or ends after 12/31/2030, it does not count. If there is a world champion of Indian origin, but who has changed federations to a country other than India (like how Firouzja switched to representing France), it does not count.
