The latest snapshot introduces an experimental "Crafter" item:

To resolve YES, the new item must:

  • Allow crafting arbitrary recipes without player interaction (i.e. act as an autocrafter).

  • Be enabled by default, without having to change the settings.

The close date is arbitrary; it will be extended until 1.21.0 is released.

@tfae That's highly unlikely. It's not a separate experimental toggle, it's part of the 1.21 update experimental toggle.
If there was something like "Enable Crafter Experiment" then this idea would have a bit more credit
