Let's say mahomes suffers an injury and he comes back but is not the same player. Would he be considered "at a similar level"?

@danl yes

If at EOY 2027 a player is injured and not active but has not announced retirement and pretty clearly intends to return to playing for their current level (e.g. still under contract), does that resolve to yes?

@SunilOcara will have to make a judgement call but most likely yes since they played in 2027 already (i assume)

Is this level as in league or level as in skill

@ethanFeldman6c30 league since that is the only thing i can think of measuring (id if they are in the MLB, they are still in the MLB)

bought Ṁ150 Giannis Antetokounmpo YES

@strutheo For soccer players how does this apply

@ethanFeldman6c30 i'd use the equivalent, do you have an example? i am not too familiar outside the USA

@strutheo Most good soccer players play in a league for a country and then a playoff league eg haaland plays in the premier league and the champions league. Most country’s have multiple levels of leagues. If haaland moved to swedens league Sweden is less competitive so he would be competing at what is considered a lower level but he would probably still make champions league. Alternatively he could still be competing in the premier league but his team could be less successful and he not make champions league so he would compete in a lower level playoff.

@ethanFeldman6c30 hm that is tough. i might have to add 'by my judgement' or a similar clause. the main spirit of the question is just that they are still competing in some capacity in a real professional league

@ethanFeldman6c30 if they transfer through these leagues regularly i'd probably count them as similar enough
