It’s currently Ṁ3 per unique response (each person can contribute Ṁ3 per answer which is bet on). How do you feel about this?

I can’t close the Poll, but it’s effectively moot from this point onwards.

@mattyb Not sure why you couldn't close it, I did it for you!

@Eliza cheers!

Just increased the bonus from M3 to M5 per unique trader on answers!

@JamesGrugett this literally changes everything haha. i’m going to dream up so many more multi-markets now

@JamesGrugett Don't forget to add that to the Notion Changelog 🤣

@Eliza Oh right haha

Here are some examples of users who already participated in this thread.

VERY TYPICAL PATTERN:

- On resolved binary questions, most creators have a positive return. It might only be a few mana per question or many thousands. It looks like trader bonus works very nicely on these in general.

- On MC questions, the same exact traders who are well calibrated in creating binary questions, have lost 100s or 1000s on adding answers to their own MC questions. They're all bleeding like crazy.

Here's mattyb, who has actually got pretty good stats for MC creation, better than many! Probably because of realizing early on that it was unprofitable?

Multibinaries are great, from both UI and UX perspective. Idk why they're not more incentivized.

In fact, a lot of big creators (including myself) have lost thousands creating them, and the returns are not that great with the 3 Ṁ bonus. I propose it should be increased.

There's a (binary) question I asked earlier today somewhat related:

The cost to create a single answer is lower than a Binary market, however, most participants will not play every multiple choice answer you add. They will only play a handful. Often only 1-2 if you added 10.

The current system says "Add fewer options to MC questions".

I have run an analysis on over a dozen creators and almost all of them have lost mana overall on creating MC questions/answers. The only exceptions are users who have gotten extremely popular MC markets, and even those are not particularly profitable.

By comparison, many, many users have made loads of mana from bonuses on Binary questions.

@Eliza Adding to this, it has affected the types of markets that I create now. I’ll try choose a fair 50% point now and just make a binary market around will it be above / below that - or choose a single option.

I made a Supreme Court market this morning (below) as a binary instead of a list of 9 as I had 0 confidence that my list of 9 would have a positive ROI but I’m pretty damn certain the binary will. That being said, as a trader the multi-market would’ve been more fun to trade in.
