It's getting close to the 1 year mark. What do people assess about how optimistic Scott is on AI alignment recently? He's talked about the topic a lot (example post https://scottaaronson.blog/?p=7230 ) but I haven't been following his posts closely so I'm not sure, if anyone else has a sense let me know.

AI safety: what should actually be done now?

So, I recorded a 2.5-hour-long podcast with Daniel Filan about “reform AI alignment,” and the work I’ve been doing this year at OpenAI. The end result is … well, probably closer …

I still don't know how to resolve this - he's posted some long interviews about AI safety recently but I don't have time to listen to them.

If traders could provide evidence/info/data, that would be helpful. Especially the people who traded recently - @KatjaGrace you seem quite confident.

@jack I just asked Scott and he said "I’d say I’m about the same amount of optimistic as a year ago — so that’s a yes I guess".
