Model UN Futarchy: If we implement open borders, will we retrospectively consider it a good decision in 10 years?

Austin's dictatorship has implemented the following policy:

I'd like to implement a policy of completely opening borders to immigration and emigration, effective immediately and committing to keep it open at least through the end of year 3.

The immediate outcome was:

OK, your population growth rate will increase by 0.5-1.5%, and in the future if your economic situation is significantly better or worse than other countries it will affect your population growth rate

[The exact outcomes are randomized so if we implement the same policy we may get a different outcome]

If we implement the same policy, will we retrospectively consider it a good decision in 10 years?

If we do not implement the policy, resolves N/A. If we do implement the policy, resolves based on a subjective poll of the futarchy council members on whether we judge it a good decision - can be YES, NO, or our averaged belief of whether it was a good decision.

I don’t feel like I have enough info to answer this question. Can we wait a year and base the decision off the realized population and economic situation of the other countries?

bought Ṁ20 of YES

@MattCWilson It resolves after 10 in-game years, based on our judgement then.

@jack Yeah, I understand that bit. I’m saying, if the dictatorship goes and implements the policy, and we don’t, can we wait until the results of year 1 are determined and then choose?

Feels to me a lot of the next five/ten years of population flux will be determined by the early delta in the economies.

predicted YES

@MattCWilson Ah, I see what you mean. Good idea!
