The prize requires a 'publicly-shared AI model'. Not sure if OpenAI or DeepMind would do that

@Simon74fe fair point, but OpenAI has publicly released some powerful things a few weeks ago (e.g Whisper v3, and Consistency Decoder). I guess the bigger concern for them is market loss for general purpose systems. I'd imagine they'd distill a version of their model that's only good at this task, less powerful at other things and publicly release that if they win. I just don't know if the other companies have cracked reasoning.
