There was another riot a week or or two ago, it doesn't sound like it reached the 500 threshold, but I'm selling my NO due to uncertainty. It was at a volleyball stadium seating 1800 people, that was apparently at half-capacity, so there were ~900 spectators. Articles variously say that 150 rioters exited the stadium and attacked police, and that 400 people were detained for questioning. It sounds to me like the 400 detained were in an attempt to find one specific person who seriously injured a police officer - perhaps that was the entire contingent of supporters for one team, and does not suggest some number more than 400 were rioting. It sounds kind of implausible to me that 500 people would riot out of 900, but hey, I'm not familiar with Greek sports riots.

The decision announced Friday followed a series of violent sport-related incidents and came hours after police detained more than 400 people following the riots outside a volleyball stadium in Athens.
ERT said about 150 people left the arena during the game to attack riot police stationed outside with flares, gasoline bombs and stones, and then returned to the venue.
@chrisjbillington Wow that is suprisingly hard to call. I guess probably no unless some one else can demomstrste that over 500 people were involved directly.
