Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if, prior to January 1, 2050 (23:59:59 UTC), actions, rulings, or enforcement measures originating from pseudo-legal or sovereign citizen self-declared "international tribunals" directly cause the complete cessation or defunct status of all global artificial intelligence infrastructure (including major public/commercial data centers, compute clusters, and cloud AI hosting networks worldwide).
This market resolves to NO if:
As of January 1, 2050, global AI infrastructure remains operational.
Global AI infrastructure becomes defunct due to other causes (e.g., global power grid failure, state-level military conflict, cyberwarfare, natural catastrophe, or recognized sovereign government actions) rather than sovereign citizen tribunals.
Only a subset of AI infrastructure becomes defunct while other major systems remain operational.
Resolution will be determined by consensus reporting across credible international news organizations and industry monitoring bodies. If any definitions require disambiguation, the market creator reserves the right to clarify, but the standard for "all AI infrastructure becoming defunct" requires an unambiguous, near-total global shutdown directly attributable to these groups.
Background
"Sovereign citizens" and related pseudo-legal movements (such as "freemen on the land" or common-law assemblies) reject the jurisdiction of established statutory courts and governments, often establishing their own pseudo-legal courts, common-law grand juries, or self-proclaimed "international tribunals" issuing rogue liens, indictments, and cease-and-desist declarations. These bodies lack state recognition, military or police enforcement mechanisms, and international legal standing.
For this market to resolve YES, these entities would not only have to issue declarations against AI developments or providers, but successfully bring about the actual, total collapse or cessation of all AI computing infrastructure worldwide before 2050.
