Countryside Elementary School, located in Newton, Massachusetts (my hometown!), is currently undergoing construction. According to https://www.newton.k12.ma.us/district-at-a-glance/long-range-planning-and-building-projects/countryside-elementary the new building will be finished by January 2027 and the project will wrap up by the fall of 2027. But will the building actually be finished in time?

Resolves YES if the new building is finished by midnight on January 31, 2027 and NO otherwise. "Finished" means that the construction work on the building itself is done and the building is visibly whole, even if the entire area is still a construction site. I plan on resolving this by photographic evidence.

The September update on the official project site (flyer filename dated 2026-09-22) targets Nov 20, 2026 for substantial completion and winter 2026/27 occupancy. Those are planned dates, not confirmation that completion has happened.

For the resolution criterion, would a visibly complete building at substantial completion qualify if only minor punch-list items and site work remain?

Here's what it looked like as of June 2, 2025. Terrible framing because I'm not a good photographer (and I also didn't want to photograph the sign whose wooden supports are visible here because copyright), but you can see that the school is visibly fenced off.
