NO

Apple is refusing to do so in the EU at least for now, citing the DMA: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-06-21/apple-won-t-roll-out-ai-tech-in-eu-market-over-regulatory-concerns.

Resolves YES if Apple is fined or action is otherwise attempted by officials to be taken against them Apple would plausibly care about, beyond simply asking them to provide information or answer questions, related to Apple's refusal, by the closing date and prior to them deploying Apple Intelligence in the EU.

Retaliation in another form counts if and only if EU is explicit they are doing that.

Resolves NO if Apple Intelligence is deployed in the EU, or if the deadline passes.

I don't understand on what basis the EU would take action against Apple for not providing a service at all in the EU.

When Facebook threatened to cease operation in the EU after regulatory changes, the EU's stance was basically "good riddance", iirc.

To be clear, I don't have a particular answer either, I am spending 1k mana to buy the answer!
