there is a weekly 100 mana reward for creating markets. Polls also count towards the reward but are way cheaper to create (10 mana vs 100 mana minimum for initial liquidity) and lower effort (don't need to make calls about resolution criteria).
The polls I make are genuine polls I want to run to get some data about how people think (or at least how people in this odd corner of the internet think). But the incentives for spacing them out over weeks are too good to pass up on.
Resolves YES if manifold staff warns me to stop or ban me for it or if polls stop giving out 100 mana per week.
Resolves NO if none of the criteria for YES are met by market close.

Nah, it’s part of the game right now that you get mana for polls. Seeing this market does make me consider changing it, because as Eliza said below, I’d rather you actually make a market each week.

@TheAllMemeingEye nothing requires approval and anyone with the commit rights can do this unilaterally. But they won't.
@MyDreamIsHere2018 there is nothing to vote on. You can buy some shares of yes or no depending on what you think will happen in the future.

then this is fine. do not spam markets (or polls) to get rewards. if they are markets you are genuinely interested in making, how you time their creation is up to you.
polls probably shouldn't count for the weekly quest but currently they do so that's fine
