This market resolves based on how Kalshi settles the market titled
“Who will be the next Supreme Leader of Iran? (death settles to last traded price)”.
YES if Kalshi settles the market using any mechanism based on a market price (e.g., last traded price) rather than resolving runners to $1/$0.
This includes:
• settlement at the last traded price immediately before a death
• settlement at a price before information about a death materially affected trading
• any expanded, modified, or renamed version of this rule introduced by Kalshi
YES also applies if this mechanism is applied only to some runners rather than all runners.
This applies to any runner in the market, including:
• existing runners
• runners added in the future
• special runners such as “Position abolished”.
It does not matter which death or deaths Kalshi cites as the reason for applying such a rule.
NO if Kalshi settles the market through normal binary resolution where one runner resolves to $1 and all others resolve to $0.
If Kalshi cancels the market or refunds all positions without applying a settlement mechanism, this market resolves N/A.

Kalshi has a special rule: if someone dies, the market may settle at the last traded price instead of resolving 1/0. Will they actually use this rule?
