Resolves based on the peak season result for an NFL coach during their tenure with a team. A coach resolves either when they are no longer under contract with a team or win the super bowl. Resolution occurs as follows based on the team's peak performance:
100% - Win Super Bowl
80% - Make Super Bowl
60% - Make Conference Championship
40% - Make Divisional Round
20% - Make Wildcard Round
0% - Never make playoffs
Tenure as of creation is taken into account (i.e. Kyle Shanahan will resolve at at least 80%, Sean McDermott will resolve at at least 60%, Raheem Morris will resolve at least 20% as of the end of the 2024/25 season).
Temporary leaves of absence (for a game or two, i.e. McVay has a baby)
will not count as the end of a term. Other, more complicated cases (i.e. Pagano having cancer) can be adjudicated in the spirit of the market (and will mostly likely not impact the outcome so will probably lean towards leniency).
If the NFL folds (or inherently changes in an extreme way where all the coaches are removed/change at the same time), then all coaches will resolve at their previous peak.
Only refers to one tenure of a coach with a team, if the coach returns for a different tenure, it counts as it's own measurement period.
This questions is everlasting, I will add new coaches each coaching cycle.
