resolution criteria when I search has agi happened and I get some result saying yes.

@Skolchem Asking if it will be developed with no criteria while resolving YES within a day (and editing in criteria afterward) is sketchy, and you were the only one who profited.
Any other questionable behavior and you will be banned.
@JamesGrugett the no criteria thing is just because I sucked at making questions. the resolving it to yes was because I saw that if I bet against everyone and then resolved it my way I would get a tone of money didn't know that wasn't allowed just thought if you can do it then it's ok, you guys should really fix that.
@d Isn't it misleading to be able to do something that they then turn around and say you actually can't do, but we're going to leave it here for you to do anyway?
@d I think the platform should be friendly and inclusive towards new users, but once one gets the gist of it blaming the devs for features doesn't seem like the way to :) As for resolution: there are guidelines that say what the best practices are.
At the end of the day they do depend on the good faith of the market creator, it's just that creating markets that don't have clear criteria and then resolving whichever way benefits the market creator wouldn't create a platform worth using 😁
@Skolchem this one seems pretty straightforward : https://manifold.markets/Skolchem/by-2030-will-ai-have-wiped-off-the?r=ZA
Just don't add confusing criteria after the fact ;)
@d On top of the market creator being the only one to buy YES shares, and shortly after the resolution criteria was added.
"Manifold reserves the right to re-resolve markets to N/A if we believe they were resolved fraudulently, including markets resolved prior to this policy coming into effect. A fraudulently resolved market is not merely an incorrectly resolved market, but one designed to benefit the market creator (or associated users) by intentionally tricking or deceiving users"
@d I think this is a bogus resolution, nobody can make the case for AGI existing today. I think the person you want to talk to is @DavidChee, he has the power to right all wrongs. At least on Manifold 😂
@d Then again based on the criteria and the existence of the Less Wrong blog I believe the market creator probably didn’t violate the criteria set out above. Idk…
@BTE Problem is criteria were added only after all bets were made except for his… then proceeds to resolve in his favor.
This would be the equivalent of me asking:
Is today Monday?
Have people bet
Edit criteria to : “this resolves however I would like. Ignore question.
Then bet on whatever I want
Then resolve in my favor.
Is there someone who can overrule this resolution? This should resolve NA and market creator should at lest get a tag letting people know he resolves like this.
Ps. Look at his other markets. The same scam scheme has been done more than once.
@NamesAreHard I know, haha, I Just wanted competent traders to give their 2 cents and I see you everywhere I look on Manifold 😆
@d not only that, but the edit history shows this was edited right when he was resolving and all his trades were before this.
