@Birger everyones balances are reset as if the market never happened. So yes, if you cashed out some profits earlier this will be taken back.

If this resolves YES only upon his death, then the mana you've bet is locked in this market until then. (There are loans on long-term stakes, but they take a while to come into effect, and last I heard there's a cap, and the rules on that might change.)
