This market resolves to YES if the government of a G7 nation (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, or the UK) officially announces a new, specific tariff or trade barrier on US goods in direct response to the new 15% proposal.

It resolves to NO if no such formal announcement is made by 11:59 PM ET on March 2, 2026.

"Vague threats" or "statements of concern" do not count; the announcement must specify a policy intent or a list of goods.
