I'm not sure which way to vote in this poll. My sister's family listened to a low-quality AI narrated audiobook and made fun of the goofy things it sometimes got wrong, and I was in the car with them for about 20 minutes of this.
So yes, but only 20 minutes, and I guess I kind of liked it, but because it was interesting and bad.
I find AI narration extremely useful in general when I need to do anything else and also read something at the same time. I would definitely listen to a high-quality AI-narrated audiobook, if I was in the habit of listening to audiobooks (which I sometimes do, but very rarely). A fully cast enactment with sound effects would be pretty dope as well. Doesn't feel too far off.
Then again, I pretty quickly stop feeling excited about AI-as-entertainment as soon as the novelty wears off, even if it is technically good. Infinite legos is boring. Limitations create fun.
