The roles of software engineer, designer and product manager will converge into one role within the next 2 years due to the information/knowledge dissimination and due to increased productivity in each of those fields coming from llms.

Betting against LLMs is free money on this site except where the resolution criteria are subjective. How will you decide?
@lukres the free money against llm is interesting, I didn't realise that, is there some logic behind it, or just empirical? one easy way to decide is a new role emerges (or existing roles get their scope expanded beyond historical defaults)
@PavelKovalevich I think (or rather, I am absolutely convinced) that the audience of this site monstrously overestimates the near-term potential of AI in general and LLMs in particular. This market, for example, is absurd: https://manifold.markets/ScottAlexander/in-2028-will-an-ai-be-able-to-gener If this site operated on real money, I would be mortgaging my house now.
@lukres I absolutely loled at this one too, that said, I've seen the same thing (same question and had the same thought) after clicking around for 2 minutes, which probably indicates that it's a massive echo chamber either way 🤷♂️
