Do natural causes count? E.g. “a stroke made an attempt on Uncle Joe, but he brushed back the attacker.” Or does a person need to be behind it?

Would like clarification on how it would resolve since a lot of assassination attempts are stopped way before they actually happen, and/or are never publicly mentioned.

@QuantumSkull It should be an active attempt, not a plan. E.g. rushing the president with a knife, gun, etc, or exlosives, etc.
