Will GiveWell get a new institutional funder (or the Gates Foundation) which gives $100M in a single financial year before 2030?

An institutional funder is one run by a regional, national or international body rather than a foundation or company. Arbitrarily this question also resolves positively for the Gates Foundation but only that foundation.

Therefore orgs which might resolve this question positively:

  • The World Bank

  • The UK Government

  • The UN WFP

  • The Gates Foundation

Orgs which will not resolve this question positively:

  • Any non-Gates Foundation foundation

  • Google

Just to confirm, you mean the funder gives at least $100m to GiveWell right? (As opposed to then having that size budget and giving anything go GW)

Also, are you planning to extend close date?

Is this an established sense of ‘institutional’? It’s not what I would expect given the title.
