This market resolves YES if share of households headed by a cohabitating couple and households headed by a married couple in the US 2030 Census are greater than one half.
The Census Bureau has a brief description of these results for 2020 (see figure 3). In 2020 there were about 126.9 million households. Of these 58.7 million were headed by a married, while 8.8 million were headed by a cohabitating couple.
The resolution date was chosen based on timing that the previous Census article was released. I am open to changing the resolution date if there is good reason to belief the results will be released publicly at an earlier date.
