Resolution Criteria:

  1. Definition of "completely disconnect": A country is considered to have "completely disconnected" from the internet if it intentionally severs or blocks all connections to the global internet infrastructure without exception. This may include actions such as cutting all undersea cables, shutting down all national internet exchanges, or implementing nationwide internet kill switches. The disconnection should result in a total halt of the internet services within the country, with no access to the global internet.

  2. Duration: The complete disconnection must last for a continuous period of over one week (i.e., more than 7 consecutive days) to meet the resolution criteria.

  3. Timeframe: The complete disconnection must occur before December 31, 2029, for the market to resolve positively.

  4. Verification: The disconnection event must be verified by credible sources, such as major international news organizations, government announcements, or reports from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that monitor internet connectivity. The verification must confirm that the disconnection was complete, with no exceptions, and lasted for the required duration.

  5. Country: Any sovereign nation recognized by a majority of the United Nations member states as an independent country is eligible for consideration in this market.

If a complete disconnection meeting all of the above criteria occurs before December 31, 2029, the market will resolve positively. If no such event takes place within the specified timeframe, the market will resolve negatively.
