Define "regime change"

@ChurlishGambit No. I’m interested in gauging the common understanding. Does whatever is going on count as regime change?

I could make an argument that the pragmatic leadership has been replaced by hardline zealots. That would be regime change, but not as the instigators of the war wanted.
