The Buffett Indicator is a widely followed valuation statistic that measures the U.S. total equity market capitalization and divides by the U.S. GDP.

If at any point until the end of March 2024 this number hits 190% of GDP measured by the site above, this market resolves to YES. I MAY bet on this market.

(Given the current AI hype in the big tech stocks, one can wonder if stocks will bubble into levels once seen during the post-COVID bubble)

@RanaG I guess because it excludes the much larger private equity market

@RanaG private equity isn't much larger than public equity. Not at all

@MP and which of course would only be a relevant factor for any conclusions to be drawn from this indicator if there were going on huge shifts between the capital allocation in these markets. I guess there aren't
