This question relates to the scheduled date of the next Irish general election for seats in Dáil Éireann, the Irish parliament.
Typically the election is triggered by a request from the Taoiseach (prime minister) to dissolve the Dáil. Once this happens the election must take place 18-25 days later.
By law the current Dáil must be dissolved no later than 19 February 2025, which means the latest date the election can be held is 22 March 2025.
The last time there was an Irish general election in specific months:
September 1927
October 1961
November 1982
December 1918
January 1933
February 2020
March 1957
I will resolve this once the election date is announced and scheduled. A delay past March would be highly irregular / force majeure situation and would result in the market resolving to “Other”.
Resolved to November, polling day is the 29th

“The leaders of the three Government parties have agreed that the general election will take place in 2024.
…
Most speculation has been focused on 29 November.“
