Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if Thomas Massie publicly states that Donald Trump should be impeached, or explicitly calls for his impeachment, at any time before 11:59 PM ET on December 31, 2026. Otherwise, it resolves to NO.
Resolution will be based on credible news reports, transcripts of interviews, or posts from Thomas Massie’s official social media accounts. If there is ambiguity regarding whether a statement constitutes a formal call for impeachment, the market will rely on the consensus of major reputable news outlets (e.g., associated press)
CANT BE conditional. Eg. If he says, trump should be impeached if he bombs Lebanon, this does not count, even if the event occurs, must be a full, non conditional call for impeachment.
RETWEETS OF OTHER USERS DONT COUNT. MUST BE HIS OWN WORDS
Background
Thomas Massie, a Republican U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s 4th congressional district, has historically maintained a voting record that often diverges from mainstream Republican leadership. While he has supported Donald Trump on various issues, his libertarian-leaning philosophy has occasionally led him to criticize executive overreach and specific policies favored by the former president. Tracking whether he calls for impeachment involves monitoring his floor speeches, media appearances, and social media activity.
