Background

In March 2025, President Donald Trump announced plans for the creation of a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve. As of the announcement, the reserve included five cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA). This initiative represents a significant shift in U.S. policy toward digital assets.

It is unclear if such a reserve will actually be created or when it might be. If created, composition of the reserve could change by January 1, 2026, based on market conditions, regulatory developments, or policy decisions.

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve based on the official composition of the U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve as of January 1, 2026 (and whether or not such a reserve exists). Each answer will resolve independently.

If no reserve exists on that date, all answers will resolve NO.

Resolution will be based on official U.S. government announcements, Treasury Department statements, or other authoritative government sources.

Considerations

The composition of the reserve (if created) may evolve between its announcement in March 2025 and the resolution date. Political changes, regulatory developments, or shifts in the cryptocurrency market could influence which assets are included. Additionally, the concept of a national crypto reserve is novel, and its implementation may differ from initial announcements.
