Update 2025-06-06 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has indicated they are unsure how to adequately assess the evidence for this market. They are asking for community help to find proof.
Update 2025-06-10 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator indicates they are looking for evidence of specific cases where an individual appealed to a court for an abortion, and that appeal resulted in the abortion being court-approved and subsequently performed. General statistics on legal abortions may not be sufficient without evidence of this specific type of court involvement for an individual.
Update 2025-06-22 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has clarified that the market required a specific judge granting an exemption or approving an exception, not abortions that are otherwise legally protected (e.g., for ectopic pregnancies).
The creator is resolving the market to NO based on this criterion. See the linked comment for their full reasoning.

@JussiVilleHeiskanen I really don’t know if these are court approved or not, cause I can’t find any specific cases of people appealing to the court to be able to get an abortion (though I didn’t look hard)
@Gen ok so, my understanding is that these abortions are likely ectopic pregnancies, or other examples of “legally protected” abortion/care
This is not the same as a judge granting an exemption or approving an exception, which is what this question was looking for
I can’t see any example — in fact I find many counter examples, including where one had to wait until her baby died or pregnant women dying because of delayed care
I am resolving NO - thanks for your input
@jim I’d be happy to resolve it (I botched the close date) but not sure how to adequately assess this
Does anyone want to look for proof of one first?
