Furries and other weirdos will use gene editing to speciate into fantasy races and other metahuman types. Corporate power will take on an outsized role in the overall governance of the United States and then eventually the world, leading to defacto corporate soveignty and mass-scale vertical integration. Urbit will inexplicably become popular for coordinating industrial espionage activity."
