Timeline arithmetic: Isomorphic announced a $2.1B Series B on 12 May 2026 (Thrive, with Alphabet, GV, MGX, Temasek, CapitalG and the UK Sovereign AI Fund) and says its first AI-designed candidates enter clinical trials by the end of 2026; nothing of theirs has been dosed in a person yet and no candidate is named. A Phase 3 start by June 2031 therefore means first-in-human to Phase 3 in about four and a half years, fast for oncology and immunology but not unheard of. The step the AI does not shorten is the in-vivo one, and for cancer the quickest in-vivo evidence outside mice comes from dogs with spontaneous tumours (the NCI runs a Comparative Oncology Trials Consortium for this; the AI-designed mRNA vaccine for Rosie the dog went from design to dosing in months in 2025). The same logic is why aging drugs are being tested for lifespan in dogs first; registry (mine): https://w0lph.github.io/k9/trials/
