Any time until the end of 2024
Right now there are none, which means you can't go through highway 50.
There are non-tesla chargers which some say make it possible. But this is about whether there is a Tesla one.
It has to be in the green box in the attached image. Places which would satisfy it are: Ely, Lund, Eureka, Austin, or any other place within the green bordered region.
As of July 2024 there seems to be no activity at the planned site in Ely, NV: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/supercharger-ely-nv.231004/page-11
@BillyGmoney it's more about going west on 50 through NV rather than having to take the northern route. 1/10th or fewer people and the small towns are more interesting
@BillyGmoney Also I'd often like to go SE from Salt Lake through empty central NV on the way to death valley w/out going through vegas
@StrayClimb yea I just don’t know if the economics work out. Everywhere else in Nevada makes a lot of sense. You’d also need a couple to make a full route
@BillyGmoney Yeah I'm not talking about economics, nobody drives through here.
But right now you would be risking fate to try to go from wendover directly to tonopah. But if they complete the supercharger in Ely you'd be set, it'd be two sections of 120m and 170m
Or, if there were a charger in Austin at least you could go Fallon => Austin => Carlin without having to take the whole upper route.
