There was a GPS outage in 2016, see GPS error caused 12 hours of problems for companies (2016-02-04). It was fixed in 12 hours.

Are we using "the general public" as the target here? IIRC there's a bunch of military GPS stuff. I think it's more likely that the civillian networks get taken down intentionally, than GPS networks go down for everyone

@citrinitas yes for example a typical person's phone GPS. If that doesn't work it qualifies.
