Nacer Bouhanni has announced retirement at the end of 2023. Will Caleb Ewan surpass his career result?
Resolves based on ProCyclingStats.com "All Time Ranking" pages.

If this page URL moves or changes, resolves based on whatever the obvious new source is.
If this All Time ranking is no longer available in any form when Caleb Ewan retires, we will look for a new source.
Resolves at the end of the season Ewan announces retirement. If he races again after that, we won't go back and re-resolve.
Update 2025-05-06 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has indicated they may perform a provisional resolution if Caleb Ewan announces his retirement.
If such a provisional resolution is made, and Caleb Ewan subsequently starts racing again before the end of that season (i.e., the season of the retirement announcement), the market will be reopened for trading and/or re-resolved.
This clarifies how an early retirement announcement and a subsequent return to racing within the same season would be handled, complementing the primary rule that resolution occurs at the end of the season Ewan announces retirement.

Definitely not the outcome I expected after he started winning again with Ineos
@RedzoneITG Hm, the market says it resolves at the end of the season he announces retirement.
I think I'm capable of bending the rules enough to do a provisional resolution -- if he starts racing again before the end of the season we are honor bound to come here and reopen trading and/or re-resolve.
Ewan's best result so far this year is a 1st place at the 2.Pro Tour of Oman. He is expected to start the Giro d'Italia this week and should have some opportunities to win stages in the race.
@Eliza Some examples of what the points gain might be based on Ewan's 2023 results:
Won a 1.1 for 7.5 points
2nd in a 1.1 for 2.75 points
3rd in a TDF stage for 1.666 points
2nd in a TDF stage for 3.75 points
Since he's about 27 points short, he'll need multiple results like this to get past Bouhanni.
